About SSIS UK
SSI Support UK (SSIS UK) was founded by Nigel Westwood, a retired Royal Navy Commander and long-time patient advocate. After developing a serious surgical site infection (SSI) that took over two years to heal, Nigel found there was very little support available for patients going through similar experiences. This site is here to change that.
